A common symptom geometry of mood improvement under sertraline and placebo associated with distinct neural patternsA common symptom geometry of mood improvement under sertraline and placebo associated with distinct neural patterns

This study reveals that antidepressant medication and placebo produce similar patterns of symptom improvement in depression, yet through fundamentally different neural mechanisms. Using advanced neuroimaging and computational modeling, we demonstrate that clinical outcomes can converge despite divergent brain activity patterns.

Ketamine disrupts consciousness in healthy participants in relation with psychotic-like symptomsKetamine disrupts consciousness in healthy participants in relation with psychotic-like symptoms

This experimental study investigates how ketamine affects conscious awareness in healthy volunteers. We demonstrate that ketamine-induced alterations in consciousness correlate with the emergence of psychotic-like symptoms, providing a controlled model to understand the neural basis of both psychedelic experiences and psychosis-related phenomena.
